We are full swing in the holiday season here in the United States. It can be a busy time filled with community events and family gatherings but it’s also a time to be grateful, a time to slow down, a time to savor a special meal with friends and family, a time to reflect. And if you’re lucky, maybe take a few days off of work.
Regardless of who you spend your holiday season with, I hope you will take time to review the year and count your blessings. Here are some questions for self-reflection for your own Sacred Celebration– discuss them around the dinner table or write them out in your journal.
- What have you learned about yourself this year?
- What has changed about yourself, your family, your home, your work that you could not have imagined a year ago?
- What are the challenges that still lie ahead?
- What are the big things & what are the little things you are grateful for?
- As you look ahead to the holiday season, how will you spread your appreciation to others (family, friends, clients, colleagues)?
Despite the upside-down nature of these past two years, I have a long list of things to be grateful for including….
My family and friends. I’m blessed to have a huge family and even more friends who live all over the country (and world!) They keep me grounded and sane when things get topsy-turvy and keep me laughing when all I want to do is cry (we’ve all had moments like that these past two years, eh?)
