Bye-Bye 2021, Hello 2022

by Elizabeth

I love New Year’s Eve! Do you? It’s one of my favorite days of the year (along with my birthday and Thanksgiving) The New Year brings with it a blank slate, a sense of “anything’s possible” and lots of hope and anticipation about the future. It feels fresh and new and squeaky clean! 2021 has been another rollercoaster year… and we didn’t think it could get any harder than 2020, did we?

My personal theme for this past year was Exponential Expansion, and boy, did it deliver. Be careful what you wish for! I expanded in ways I never could have imagined.

The biggest professional celebrations were finally launching my new line of gift products at SacredCelebrations.com and finishing my Sacred Celebrations book manuscript (to be published in 2022 with GracePoint Publishing). Woo hoo!

My biggest personal challenges involved my health – two surgeries at the beginning of the year (a hysterectomy and then emergency surgery due to a complication) and then ending the year with either the flu or Covid (not totally sure due to conflicting test results) and some family things that have me doing a lot of internal reflecting and outer reconfiguring. I trust it’s all good, but it’s sure been a lot.

While it hasn’t been an easy year, it’s helped me to clarify my values, my direction and my focus for 2022. My theme for 2022 is Blossoming. I’m still in growth mode, but I’m hoping it will be a bit gentler than the intensity of this past year.

This week between Christmas and New Year’s is often a bit quieter and is a wonderful time to review your year – celebrate the highlights, learn from the lowlights and then say “bye-bye” and leave it all in the dust as the clock strikes midnight and you get to start all over again.

Here are a few questions that I invite you to consider as we embark on the New Year. You may want to pull out your journal and write down your observations, or print this out and discuss with your partner, children, best friend or coach.

  • What were your personal highlights from 2021?
  • What were your professional highlights from 2021?
  • What gave you a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction?
  • What challenged you, stretched you and invited you to grow?
  • What did you learn about yourself?
  • What are you ready to let go of?

Looking Ahead to 2022

  • What is your theme for the New Year?
  • How would you like to FEEL in 2022?

Feel free to comment or send me the answers via my Contact page so I can cheer you on into the New Year. And of course, if you’re ready to start working with a coach in 2022 to make your dreams come true, book a call and let’s get started!

Happy New Year! May 2022 bring abundant blessings to you and yours!

P.S. One final THANK YOU for your support with the Sacred Celebrations website launch. Many of you have ordered gifts for your loved ones this holiday season and I’ve adored preparing jewelry and ritual kits for you. I look forward to expanding the line in 2022 and adding my book to the offerings. Grateful for you, as always.
